Creating a Better Ceredigion for Young People

Dyfodol Ni

The Programme and Our Mission

Funded by the National Lottery Community Funds’ Mind Our Future Programme until 2028, Dyfodol Ni has found new ways of combating young people’s mental health in Ceredigion.

Dyfodol Ni will enact systemic change in the way services supporting young people’s mental health operate. The intention is to create a model for the provision of safe spaces and the promotion of youth voice that can be rolled out, first at a county level, and then at a national level.

We are youth led from the outset, governed by our youth board, S3, and focussed solely on research with young people.

Youth-led Partnership finding new & innovative ways to improve the mental health of young people in Ceredigion.

Funded by the National Lottery Community Fund’s Mind Our Future Programme, Dyfodol Ni has come together to deliver joined-up, co-produced services, putting young people at the forefront in order to deliver mental health services and interventions for young people in Ceredigion.

Our pledge

Area 43 are our lead partner for delivery

We are the grant holders, and all management responsibility for the project lies with us. Our Youth Board (S3) work very closely with Area 43, and are supported by us to manage and deliver the project.

The Dyfodol Ni Partnership Pledge was created by young people in order to set the agreement of Partner organisations in maintaining the youth led focus of the Partnership’s activities

Feelz on Wheelz

S3 have developed their own mobile safe space and support service, Feelz on Wheelz / Llyw a Byw, as a cost-effective alternative model to static safe spaces that could be rolled out nationally. This pilot will prove the efficacy of mobile safe spaces for areas like Ceredigion, which are a mixture of rural and urban areas, and where static safe spaces struggle reach remote populations of young people.

Our hubs are here for you, helping you face any issues or difficulties that arise

S3, our youth board (14-24 year olds) are the decision makers of the programme. They shape the direction of the project and co-produce activities to improve the resilience and mental health of Children and Young People across Ceredigion. We work in partnership to meet needs, as defined by Children and Young People, in a way that suits them. Our role is to inspire them to be the change makers they deserve and provide safe spaces for them to amplify their voices.
