Closing Area 43 Dropin Centre from Monday 23rd March 2020

The Covid-19 crisis is developing very quickly, and I have taken the decision to close the Dropin Centre to walk in clients with immediate effect.  I have taken this decision reluctantly, in the interests of the health and safety of our staff, clients and the wider population, and to support the measures being taken by health professionals to limit the pressure on the NHS.

Area 43’s staff will still be available to provide information, support and counselling remotely, online, by telephone or text and through contact via Area 43’s social media pages, for the time being during our usual working hours. So, please keep in touch for updates and guidance.

Area 43’s schools counsellors will work from home to offer counselling remotely, via Zoom, an online platform using text, audio or video link or over the phone. To access counselling support, please see complete the self-referral link (for school age children/young people in Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire) and a counsellor will contact you directly.

Area 43’s Here for You online counselling service is also available to those aged 16 – 30, living in Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire by completing the registration form on our website

We would ask that all schools/support services for young people in our area include a link to Area 43’s website please.

The situation we all find ourselves in is unprecedented and is changing from day to day.  All of us at Area 43 need you to stay in as far as possible and keep safe.
